Kilbride Environmental & Industrial Services (‘The Company’) provides a range of services to both the public and private sectors. The services offered relate mainly to maintenance of drainage and storage tanks, and oil/water waste treatment. The company has recently opened a new depot in Gateshead servicing the north of England and southern Scotland.
The Company’s resources include large vehicle mounted plant such as re-cycling machines, a disab, suction loaders, and small water jetting machines together with smaller vehicles carrying remote controlled CCTV surveying equipment. In addition to these, other resources are the depot waste treatment plant, the garage and workshop and the employees themselves.
The Company is committed to having and maintaining a documented management system to the requirements of ISO 14001:1996, which includes a commitment to continual improvement in environmental performance and the prevention of pollution.
The Company will, as a minimum standard, comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, and will have a management programme for communicating environmental awareness to all of its employees. Copies of this policy will also made available to all relevant external organisations. To ensure that this policy is effective the Company will implement a managed programme of objectives and targets.
The effectiveness of the management system is subject to scrutiny at management reviews held every 6 months. This environmental policy statement will also be subject to review at the management meeting.
The Company’s Managing Director has final responsibility for the management of the system. Responsibility for the daily implementation of the system will be delegated to the company’s Environmental Manager.
